Micah Land (born September 12, 2012) is an Australian filmmaker and actor.His earliest works include The Birth of Big Daddy (2024), The Shlongle Bongle trilogy (2024), and The Oompa Doompa (2024).After the school-wide success of his first 5 films Micah took a year break from filmmaking, not producing anything in the year of 2025, except a single script which was never filmed.In 2026 Micah Land continued his filmmaking with an all-new group of actors, almost entirely different from his first 5 films. He started the year with The Unstoppable Goat-Man (2026), with Yonathan Moreh, a superhero comedy, very similar in nature to The Birth of Big Daddy.Micah is currently working on writing and directing his first feature film, in Play It Cool (2026).Micah Land can be emailed or found, primarily, on the three sites below.

The Birth of Big Daddy (2024) is an action-comedy superhero film, starring Hugo Marion as the titular hero. A young man named Big Daddy (Hugo Marion) gains superpowers by finding a, seemingly, magical, yellow eye mask hanging from a tree. When he discovers his powers, he makes the logical choice and becomes a superhero, fighting crime one ruler at a time. Friends (Arlo Hopwood, Micah Land) are lost, battles are fought, tears are shed in The Birth Of Big Daddy.CAST

The Silver Saviour (2025) was the first film Micah ever wrote an actual script for. It starred Sebastian Ganzer as Devon Myers, a street vigilante, in a way similar to Kick-Ass. Devon would eventually find a sidekick in Ethan (Yonathan Moreh), who he would team up with to take down the cruel and cunning Chet Vice (Austin Perridge). Dragging a increasingly decaying corpse through public places, they must navigate rogue, racist squatters, hallucinogenic Monster energy drinks, and the stupidity of being a 13-year-old boy.

Trivia for Micah Land's films

The Birth of Big Daddy (2024)
1. Real scissors were used for the fight scenes and almost hit people in the eye mutliple times.
2. The entire film was shot at school, during school hours, while students were meant to be writing their English assignment.
3. The film had no script, or even any basic plot points, it was all made up as it was filmed.
4. The film was shot, but constantly had new scenes being filmed and added to it.
5. The infamous yellow eye mask, worn by Big Daddy (Hugo Marion), was owned by Vaughn Woodhouse, who received a cameo in the film.
The Shlongle Bongle (2024)
1. The first film in the trilogy is almost entirely unconnected to the second and third.
2. The film was inspired by a nickname given to Ari, who plays the Shlongle Bongle.
3. The film was only shot because Micah and Ari had extra time after filming The Birth of Big Daddy (2024).
4. There were no plans for a sequel, but people liked the first one so much it was decided there'd be two more.
5. The infamous Shlongle walk was improvised by Ari on the spot during filming.
The Oompa Doompa (2024)
1. It was originally only marketed as a trailer but then re-marketed as the full film when Yonathan and Micah realised they didn't want to film more.
2. A far long Oompa Doompa short film is currently in development.

The Silver Saviour (2025)
1. This film was entirely written, casted, and even had locations picked out before it was scrapped, meaning it may be revived someday.
2. The short film was originally going to be a comic book, written by Micah but this was later changed.
3. This was going to be the debut of Sebastian Ganzer, Austin Perridge, and Joab Dawit.
4. The entire script was written as one big block of text and entirely like a book.
5. The script was written in a single afternoon, after school.
The Unstoppable Goat-Man (2026)
1. Yonathan was injured during filming of the final fight scene.
2. This film marked the creation of Y & M Productions, a joint company by Micah Land and Yonathan Moreh.
3. The Unstoppable Goat-Man had an entire cut plot-line about a villain who worked for Appendicitis Man, named The Silver Scourge, who wore the mask that was supposed to be worn by Devon in The Silver Saviour.
4. There was plans for a Goat-Man: The Series that are not entirely ruled out.
5. The film's credits feature an entirely original song by Micah Land.
Outperium (2026)
1. The film was cancelled on the day of the shoot, simply because Micah didn't feel like shooting it.
2. The film was directly inspired and talked extensively about Daniel Radcliffe's infamous Imperium (2016).
3. The film attempted to blend hidden religious and social commentary, absurd comedy, and discussions of race and discrimination.
4. Outperium (2026) was a mouthpiece for Micah to communicate his views on the topics of religion and racism.
5. The main climax of the film is a direct homage to the protest scene in Imperium (2016).
Play It Cool (2026)
1. The film is Micah's first feature, sitting at 101 minutes, the film was originally meant to be a short film.
2. It is the first script that Micah properly formatted, instead of writing prose-style.
3. The film contains over 150 references to other pieces of media.
4. The script was written non-linearly and out of order, with jokes constantly being added in if Micah thought they were funny enough to be in the film.
5. Micah voice acts over 10 off-screen characters.
The Oompa Doompa (2026)
1. This is an extension, a reimagining, and a remake of the original 2024 short.
2. The short was Yonathan Moreh's first, major foray into being the camera work.
3. The film, while written by Micah, maintained major oversight from Yonathan throughout both pre and post production.
Final Edit (2026)
1. An extensive watchlist of films was curated and promptly studied during the creation of Final Edit (2026).
